Domestic Waste Disposal Pollution
Domestic Waste Disposal Pollution Summary Domestic waste disposal is an action that should be taken with a lot of concern so that it can lead to the reduction of pollution and high income that has to be spending in dealing with the effects that are caused by this waste. It is therefore important for a country to come up with policies that will lead to reduction of waste disposal in the country. This will be through training people on how to go about the disposal of waste and effects that are caused by poor disposal of waste in open places. This will mean that what a country will have to do is to come up with strategies that will be affordable by also that they can be able to curb this problem of waste disposable. Most countries are not able to get in conduct with policies and strategies that are important and what they have to do is to ensure that they reduce the effects if the strategies are expensive to them. Introduction There are many wastes that pollute the environment most of these wastes are like human wastes that are drained into lakes and other water sources meaning that such wastes lead to pollution of that place where they are disposed. This is mean that high effects will be to the organisms that live in water and other places where people have to drain their waste. Threw are also other waste that result from chemicals that are used by human beings like pesticides that are very harmful when disposed to the open environment this will mean that what they are supposed to do is to take the right action that will lead to right disposal of waste so that they can reduce the effects that are caused by these wastes. There is a waste management outline strategy which is a short term strategy where by it considers waste collection practices that are both traditional and source segregation. In this strategy there are two basic types of collection systems that can be used and they include: bring schemes w hich are the act that public is supposed to bring materials to a designated site for sorting and dispatch for reuse. This is important as it ensure that the public has to come up with right directions so that they can ensure the right disposal is followed. The other method is kerbside schemes where materials are collected by the council from house hold. This will mean that what they have to do is to inform the families the time when they will be coming for this waste so that they can have the collection made at one place. (Daniel, 2003, pp, 67) This scheme has got advantages where there are greater recovery rates for dry recyclates and has additional benefits in promoting public participation in councils waste management operations which will mean that the public will be aware that council will be in need of the right disposal been carried out so that they can reduce the problems that are expected to rise from poor disposal of waste. The council should keep these people informed in that they should know the time when the council will come for waste so that they can be ready to invite the waste items like newspapers and magazines, cans, tins and plastics that have to be recycled. The blue bins are emptied by the same collection vehicle on the same collection day but during the alternative times the grey domestic bins are used this will mean that they will lower the collection costs that are related to waste collection. With the success of pilot scheme the council decided to expand it out across the local authority where they have assistance of collecting this waste. The collection service is a independent and in addition to councils cleansing services weekly refuse collection of domestic waste there has been the BTCV which has been carrying out similar collection schemes so that they can help to keep the environment free from waste disposal. There is the north Lanark shire council which will access the various methodologies that are followed so that they can make the right changes that will lead to the right collection been followed. This will mean that this council made not on the two schemes so that they can know whether these two schemes worked together or they are mutually exclusive and the collection that is made should involve a combination of several methods. Although kerbside has proved to be successful there is a clear evidence that there is additional systems and procedures that are required so that the right implementation can be carried out to make the right changes that will lead to more r ecyclable waste materials that have to breaking within the domestic waste stream. This will mean that the implementation that will be done will lead to more recycles that will be required to reduce the wastes that have been accumulating in the places that are not accepted. (David, 2000, pp, 89) The blue bin scheme isolates materials such as newspaper and magazines, cardboards, tins and plastics for recycling while the BTCV scheme has the target to beverage cans, textiles and glass. This will mean that each scheme is responsible for carrying out its work that is set for it so that they can have waste been reduced in all the places in a country. With other waste streams then it means that a country will not have this waste been a danger to it but what they will do is to make changes that will lead to further recycle of waste. There are percentages that are related to house hold waste where a country has got to do something so that they can reduce these waste. This will mean that there will be need for other changes to be taken so that changes can be made to dispose this waste. Figure 1 was retrieved on April 25, 2008 The north Lanark shire will require investigations to be done so that they can be able to isolate waste. This will mean that the blue bin scheme that does not segregate glass and can be expanded will be changed so that it can cover this waste that is to be isolated. The alternative to isolate the waste will be at source which will be to continue wit the traditional refuse collection service rather than the land filling of waste. This waste will be transported to materials recovery facility where they are inspected and recyclable material retrieved. (Bonnie, 1998, pp, 78) This will mean that there is need for the council to have partnership with levenseat recycling so as to try this method. The waste will be delivered to levenseat facility where materials will be extracted for recycling. From the report that was taken from the levenseat facility about 36% of household waste could be recycled. This meant that the option that was made for expansion was effective and the need to have infrastructure been put in place so that they can have easy transport of the waste. This will be to have council or be by private contract that will mean that they will have the waste within the time that is required. But this method has got disadvantage in that it does not induce public to take responsibility to waste as in the case of segregation. Both systems have to be implemented so that they can bring about methods that will lead to have domestic water stream been diverted from land fill. (Bonnie, 1998, pp, 56) In the recycling of plastics there are complication issues this is because the plastics are not all recyclable, there are different types of plastics that have different properties meaning that there is need to have separation which is time consuming, there is economics of recycling that is not favorable meaning that the market will be affected regularly. The recycling will lag behind due to the fact that many European countries, lack subsidy which will indicate that it will not be possible to have changes that will lead to success in recycling. This will mean that it will be expensive to undertake this task of recycling of plastics. The reasons that lead to segregation of plastics include: there is necessity to have separation of different polymer types so that their different properties can be taken into account during the time for reprocessing. There is need to have thermosetting plastics so that they can be heated and reshaped into different objects that are required. There are different segregation approaches that can be followed so that plastics can be recycled which include post industrial segregation where the collection of plastics before they enter the municipal solid waste stream. In this approach then plastic waste is usually collected as only one type or more and they are clean and economically attractive for recycling to be done. (Ben, 1999, pp35) There is the post consumer segregation where collection of plastics is done after they have entered the municipal solid waste steam. These plastics which have mixed polymer type and very contaminated require additional steps so that they can be cleaned and separated meaning this approach very expensive. This will mean that what they require is the automatic sorting as it is faster and more efficient. There is the processing where after sorting has been done what follows is the bailing machines that compact bottles and the bales are later transported to a reprocessing factory. In this factory the bales are broken and bottles are cut into granules where the granules are washed and dried then passed through the metal detector to remove ferrous contaminants and they are finally passed through a dedusting unit, which removes the lighter particles and they are packaged and ready to be used by re manufacturers. This has proved to be the only way the could be used for recycling of plastic. B ut the government has been in need of a waste strategy that will be bale to meet the target that for waste recycling and recovery. The targeted are based on collections rather than the actual recycling that has to be done through commercial or industrial; processing. This will imply that there is need to have changes made so that they can know where to begin and the government has appreciated the need to develop markets so that they can pull materials from waste stream which is in need of high income so that they can fund the action that is concerned with this recycling. The waste resource action program that has to be achieved should be able to create markets that are for recycling of materials. (Ben, 1999, pp, 45) The north east MSW best practical environmental option This plan is important because it sets the strategic targets that have to be followed in domestic waste disposal. This plan has details of the ability of local authority to achieve the proportion of the BPEO for north east. In working with other organization there has been methods that have been used so that there can be waste prevention. This implies that the waste strategy groups have been in work so that they can come up with the right methods that will lead to waste prevention. This has been important in that they have tried to encourage local people to have their own waste prevention plan which will mean that they will be in need of tools and techniques that will lead to right waste prevention. There is need for national recommendations to policy makers and others on instruments that will lead to success in preventing waste. (Alex, 1990, pp, 26) There is need to reuse and refurbish waste in that the required activities that are responsible for this action should be taken so that they can lead to provision of employment and produce goods which would be used . There is need top have significant increase in the quantities of materials and forward them to re processors for recycling. This increase should be made to segregated kerbside collections of paper, plastic, textiles and other materials that arte required. This will lead to reduction in the dangers that are caused by poor disposal; of waste and at the same time they will earn a country income as the recycled products are sold and bring income to these people. This means that it is important to have domestic waste disposal and segregation so that people can earn income that will change their way of survival where at the same time it will be a benefit to a country in terms of income that is gained from the recycled products. This means that it is important to have segregati on so that a country can experience changes that will lead to changes in living standards of people at the same time they make the public aware of what they are supposed to undertake. (Alex, 1990, pp, 23) Conclusion Waste disposal and segregation is very important because it leads to changes that are important to a country. This will mean that they are supposed to know how to go about waste products that are disposed and they should be important so that they can be recycled and lead to change in status of people. The waste strategy groups are supposed to do their work so that they provide the waste prevention measures and other important things that are required. Human Rights Violations Philosophy Essay
Human Rights Violations Philosophy Essay Human rights describe equal rights and freedom for anyone and everyone regardless of race, color, sex, language, religion or political affiliation. All humans live in societies together. As stated by the U.N. declaration of Human Rights in 1948 All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood. This statement defines that each and every human is entitled to all rights. Human rights are fundamental to human existence. There may be disagreement on the details of human rights, but barely any on the basic aspects of them. Human rights were always violated in human history. Theà leaders mostly oppressed people and did not grant their entitled human rights. Even religious leader in some cases were responsible for the violation of human rights. Maslows hierarchy of needs can attest to the basic fundamental human rights that we all share. In order to be at a level of satisfaction an individual must meet five basic criteria. The basic needs are the physiological needs (food, water, etcà ¢Ã¢â ¬Ã ¦), safety needs, needs of love and affection, needs for esteem, and once everything else is met, self-actualization or as Maslow describe it, the need to be and do that which a person was born to do. This ties in with human rights in that it can connect us and become equals. Even though the U.N. has made a declaration concerning human rights, we as humans should not have an international governing body lay it out for us. Leaders, citizens, all people should know that we are all free and have rights that should be met. If not, measures should be taken to make sure that every human beings rights are not violated. History of the Issue Human right has been constantly evolving throughout human history. They have been tied to the laws, customs and religions. An example of laws that contain references to individual rights is the tablet of Hammurabi. This tablet was created by the Sumerian king Hammurabi about 4000 years ago. While considered barbaric in todays world, the system of 282 laws created a model for the legal system. This kind of model protected people from arbitrary persecution and punishment. But the problems with Hammurabis code were mostly due to its cause and effect nature, it held no protection on more abstract ideas such as race, religion, beliefs, and individual freedoms or commonly called human rights. The term has only come into common use in the 20th century. The idea of human rights is not universal, it is the product of 17th and 18th century European thought. The idea itself does not exist in every society or civilization. This issue was a major cause in 17th century England. The protection of the peoples right (mostly right to political participation, and freedom of religious belief and observance) against an oppressive government was the start of the English Civil War of 1640. It was also the start for another revolution called the Glorious Revolution in 1688, which then led to the English Bill of Rights a year later. The Bill of Rights dealt with the fundamental concerns of that time. It subjected the King to the rule of the law like any other citizen instead of the King claiming to be divine. It protected some basic rights to justice, cruel and unusual punishments and unfair trials etcà ¢Ã¢â ¬Ã ¦ Near the end of the 18th century, the philosopher John Locke argued that it was part of Gods natural law that no-one should harm anyone in their pursuit of life, liberty, possessions, and health. These rights could never be given up. If these rights were threatened to be taken away it was necessary to do whatever to protect them. From this view the governments role was limited in that people could be not under control of a ruler without their consent. The responsibility of a government is to protect the natural rights of its people. This idea also led to the American Revolution with the formation of the Declaration of Independence. The Declaration states that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness which assert that premise of human rights. Even with the declaration in place, and later the constitution; women were not recognized to have rights and slavery was still instituted throughout the whole nation. The doctrines of human rights that are in place now are a result of these ideas from early generation of thinkers. Human rights are natural in that every person owns them regardless of a system of law, religion, or government. Governments must be able to protect and respect these laws and promote them to all individuals. In 1948, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was made by the U.N. in an effort to make human rights part of international law. The greatest 20th century statements of natural or human rights can be dated to 1948, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. This preceded a range of international Conventions, Covenants, Declarations and other treaties that have followed the tradition. Most came from the United Nations. But other groups have also adopted human rights standards. Some common universal rights are the right to an education, freedom, life, and the right to own property and cultural rights. The declaration serves to protect these rights in those nations that signed it and helps make aware of nation-states that violate and suppress the rights of their own citizens. Causes and Impacts of the Issue There are many events in history that can be traced to the cause of human rights being a focus point. These events had probable causes to why there are human rights violations today. One cause is the state. The state or government may impose certain laws that infringe on individuals freedoms because they believe its necessary in order to maintain power or eliminate opposition. For example public humiliation, or punishment such as those taken place in some middle eastern can be seen as violations. Another cause is the lack of generosity or selfishness that states and individuals have. Companies that produce bottled water or provide it to countries often charge families more then they earn in a days wage just for water. Certain elements of cultures and religions can lead to practices that violate human rights as well. Based on these causes an increase of human rights violations has impacted the entire global community in the past to the future. The use of child labor has been dated back to the industrial revolution in England. According toà UNICEF, there was an estimated 158 million children aged 5 to 14 in child labour worldwide, excluding child domestic labour. Another violation is the ongoing mass murders that occurred and/are occurring now. Currently the Darfur conflict is a major human rights violation because the Sudanese government is destroying African Muslim communities because some among them have challenged Khartoums authoritarian rule. As a result, more thanà 400,000 civiliansà have been killed and 2.5 million people are displaced from their homes. Other violations such as racism, the Rwandan genocide, and the ethnic cleansing in Kosovo in the 1990s are examples of some human rights violations that have occurred in history. It is estimated that at least 60 million people have die d in wars and human rights abuses since 1945 and this number continues to climb if no action is taken. Countries that fail to take action will see an increase in deaths due to human rights violations. Conclusion and Solutions There are many solutions out there to prevent the abuse of human rights. Through education and the media people can be aware of the numerous human rights violations taking place in the world today and gain some knowledge of whats going on in the world. Organizations have erupted in an effort to protect the rights of those that have been violated. One organization that does this is the Amnesty International. Amnesty International as quoted in their website à ¢Ã¢â ¬Ã ¦inspires hope for a better world through public action and international solidarity. We help stop human rights abuses by mobilizing our members and supporters to put pressure on governments, armed groups, companies and intergovernmental bodies. Another group is Doctors for Borders an organization created by doctors to help those in nearly 60 countries threatened by violence, neglect, or catastrophe, principally due toà conflict, epidemics,à malnutrition,à exclusion from health care, orà natural disasters. These organizations reflect the impact of the Declaration of Human Rights. The declaration has paved the way for people to realize the potential threats of human rights abuse. I believe that the world and the people residing have had enough time to see what has occurred in the past. We need to learn from our mistakes in the past and never let such atrocities such as the torture of the Jewish families in the concentration camps, segregation in the U.S., or the gulags in Russia take place. Countries are more educated now and all should take a stand. We are all one people living under the same roof and I think human rights of all individuals should be protected. Being a Catholic, I hear sometimes hear people say to other people go to hell and they respond by Im already here. If we respected our fellow brethren and took the time help those in need, take of the earth etcà ¢Ã¢â ¬Ã ¦we could turn this so called hell into heaven ourselves.

One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest Essay -- One Flew Over The Cuckoos Ne
One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest à à à à à Sometimes in life people are forced to conform to a certain situation for lack of a better alternative, and this is the case in One Flew Over the Cuckooââ¬â¢s Nest. These such people lack the will to stand up for their scruples, and intern are simply guided through their mundane lives by the powers that be. Until someone comes along offering them leadership and the prospect to become ââ¬Å"big again.â⬠The man who does so is no other than R.P. McMurphy. Scanlon, Harding, Bibbit, and Chief Bromden may have become adjusted to the oppressive system in which they lived, but certainly were much better adjusted to the real world and life in general after their experience with McMurphy. à à à à à Some people may argue that the people of the mental hospital were better off without McMurphy because their lives were ââ¬Å"normalâ⬠and routine. Their daily routine guided them through a series of happenings, which were both comfortable and tolerable to them, even though as a result of this they would remain subject to the manipulative ways of Nurse Ratchet. These people would say that the ââ¬Å"oppressive societyâ⬠that they lived in may not suit everyone, but certainly suited them. à à à à à McMurphy, on the other hand, finds this setting to be suitable for no human being, and soon after arriving he sets the tone for change. ââ¬Å" Well what they got that man strapped down for,â⬠says McMurphy, ââ¬Å" I donââ¬â¢t like that, no sir, it just aint dignified.â⬠By coming to the hospital he brings a sense of realism and courage to the lives of these patients. They have been longing for leadership and McMurphy wonââ¬â¢t be intimidated. ââ¬Å"Iââ¬â¢m thinkinââ¬â¢ a takinââ¬â¢ over this whole shebang,â⬠says McMurphy, and he knows in order to do this he must instill courage into the patients of the ward. à à à à à As we are first introduced to the characters, we as the reader meet Harding, a middle aged man, who wears glasses and basically keeps to himself, saying only what he feels need be said. ââ¬Å"Miss Ratched is a veritable angel of mercy and why, everybody knows it. Sheââ¬â¢s unselfish as the wind, toiling thanklessly for the good of all, day after day, seven days a weekâ⬠¦ Oh no my egomaniac buddy, she is dedicated, she gives every bit of herself, she desires nothing more to see us walk out of her adjusted and capable once more of coping with life,â⬠says Harding. What Harding does not yet know is McMurphy will... ....) Iââ¬â¢m big again, Mac.â⬠He turned and rushed out the window into the horizon. à à à à à à à à à à Some people are forced to conform to a condemning situation, but thanks to McMurphy these people did not. He brought them all hope and a new light and sense of well being. He taught them how things were on the outside, in the ââ¬Å"real worldâ⬠and took them away from the boring lives they lived in the hospital even if it was only for a short amount of time. He gave Harding, Billy, and Chief Bromden the courage which they had always longed to have but could never exude on their own, and I certainly think society needs more people like him, more people to lead other and instill them with power. We as human beings long for leadership and someone to give us worth, and R.P. McMurphy was certainly the person to do so for these people. He may not be the best contribution to the economy, but in regards to people in general, there is no denying the potential we could have if only there were more people like him, people to motivate, and give us pride. McMurphy certai nly did this for all of the people he encountered in the hospital and made them better adjusted to live their lives to the fullest every day.

Seasonal affective disorder (SAD) is a psychological disorder that is described in the DSM-5 as a specifier to describe subpopulations of patients with recurrent depressive disorders and bipolar disorder. It is unique because unlike depression symptoms, seasonal affective disorder has variations in onset, intensity and remission following a temporal pattern (American Psychiatric, 2013). Seasonality is seasonal variation in behavior and mood and seasonal affective disorder describes the extreme end of seasonality. The most common form of this disorder is Winter SAD in which the depressive symptoms begin in the fall and winter and go into remission in the spring in summer but the opposite, Summer SAD where depressive symptoms begin in the spring and summer and go into remission in the fall and winter is also sometimes observed. In recent years, there has been more of a push to advocate getting help for seasonal affective disorder for those that need it. The treatment that is most often provided is bright light therapy. The cause of this disorder is generally considered to be lack of exposure to sunlight but there are many factors that have been found to contribute to the susceptibility to seasonal affective disorder, such as the latitudinal position, the activity level, gender and age, and the personality of a person. One of the most widely known and tested factors that affects susceptibility to seasonal affective disorder is latitudinal position. This factor was one of the first used in explaining seasonal affective disorder. As a person moves higher in latitude which means goes north, the amount of sunlight per day is significantly reduced, which can cause seasonal affective disorder to begin to arise. This lack of sunlight can c... ...light-latitude hypothesis of seasonal depression needs to be looked at again or more focus added to another possible factor that could contribute to SAD (Haggarty et al., 2001). In conclusion, though often looked over, seasonal affective disorder is a very serious disorder that is shown to be as severe as non-seasonal major depression. Both Winter SAD and Summer SAD can be debilitating for the patient who has them. The latitudinal position, the activity level, gender and age, and the personality of a person are all factors that can contribute to susceptibility to seasonal affective disorder or can help us in understanding and possibly even treating it. Aside from these factors, there is research going on even now looking into other possible factors that could contribute to the susceptibility to seasonal affective disorder as well as new treatments for the disorder.

Transcendentalism In Movies Essay -- essays research papers
Perhaps one of the most meaningful maxims Emerson wrote would have to be "Insist on yourself, never imitate." This statement captures the total essence of transcendentalism; deny the will and aspirations of others, and follow your own heart. The movie Dead Poets Society begins by introducing the viewers to Todd Anderson, a very subdued and quiet young man. Todd has the average inferiority complex. He is a very bright young man with exceptional abilities. Todd is unwilling to speak his mind for fear of non-acceptance. Charles Dalton is a seemingly average student with a rebellious attitude. He has already realized that the students are being "brainwashed" into living a preordained life. Neil Perry is another young man who realizes that his life is being planned out in front of him. He feels that he has no voice in his life. Their English professor, Mr. Keating, radically changes the lives of all of these students. Mr. Keating encourages Todd to speak up and voice his opinions. He makes Todd realize that the world will accept him because his thoughts and feelings are so deep and heartfelt. Charles Dalton receives just the spark he needs for action from Mr. Keating. He reforms a group called the Dead Poets Society. Nothing really happens at the meetings other than the reading of poetry for inspiration in life. Neil, perhaps the most perplexing character in the movie, discovers his dream in life is to be an actor. His father, for a reason none other than...

Class scheduling system Essay
A.INTRODUCTION Through the past year, most of the people are not comfortable working with a computer, and perform better with the paper and pencil system. The manual system works, even if electricity is off, unlike most computer setups, and there is no data corruption or duplication, as sometimes happens with accounting software. One of the disadvantages of manual accounting system is the amount of time most put into it. Because you donââ¬â¢t have a computer categories and totaling figures, you must do this yourself. It takes a lot of time to do manual accounting that it does computerized accounting system. In this generation, computer is being used by industry, companies, school, and specially business establishment. They used computer in making their task easier with less times, from manual to a computerized one. The emerge of computer gives a big contribution to business and education. Ever since, computer development of technology become a great advantage on the business replaced the work intended for human primarily to lessen manpower. By using computer reduce the time consumed in recording data, computing transaction and processing information. A computerized system is designed to perform one or more dedicated functions is often times with real-time computing constraints. It is also designed to do some specific task, rather than be general-purposed computer for multiple tasks. In this regard, the researchers proposed computerized accounting system of C/A+CT college to lessen the works of the accountant. This study will develop researchers our skills and ability especially in planning, analyzing and designing a system. History: In 1997, the Cordillera A+ Computer Technology (C/+ACT), pronounced see-act, took a bow as it opened its doors to 17 wide-eyed and eager high school graduates. They were as excited as the first three (3) teachers: Mrs.Gladys Mae O.Garcia, Mrs.Nerisa L. Orodio and Ms Donagil Alipio. Two Technical 2-year courses were offered: Computer Secretarial and Computer Technician both supervised by the Technical Education and skill Development Authority (TESDA). On its second year, C/A+CT expanded its offering through two new 2-year courses Computer Programming and Associate in Computer Science. The school population grew steadily and on its First Commencement Program inà March 1999, C/A+CT AND 5 Computer Technician graduates. In June 2000, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) favorably approved the appli9cation of C/A+CT College paving the way for the associate in Computer Science to be ladderized towards Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Geared in the direction as a center for Science and Technology, other course offerings are under study-courses that shall address the manpower requirement of the Cordillera Region as well as the bigger market and even the international markets are being designed and applied for. As a fresh among the Higher Education Institutions [HEIs], the Cordillera A+ Computer Technology College looks into the future with confidence that it will make a difference to the people of kalinga as an alternative learning center for Science and technology-a school close to home and family, an alternative to the expensive prospect of studying in the prime centers of education such as Metro Manila, Baguio City or even Tuguegarao City. MISSION: C/A+CT College is committed to the proposition that cordilleras especially the provinces of kalinga and Apayao be sufficiently provided empowerment for its human resources to break free from the insulting and degrading stamp of and backwardness. VISION: C/A+CT College is envisioned as a leading educational institution in the kalinga province committed to developing the total person into responsible citizens vital to regional and national development. B. Scope and Delimitation of the study The scope of the study focuses on the accounting system of Cordillera A+ Computer Technology college. It only covers the monitoring of accounts. It benefits personnel particularly the Cashier and the Administrator. C. Significance of the study The accounting system has a great impact in the school. It has a great help in terms of time management. The significance of the study is to design and to improve the accounting system of C/A+CT College by implementing a computerized accounting system. Through this system, the C/A+CT college will not be hard- up in implementing the accounting procedures because they willà spend minimal time and effort in working with it. The result of the study will benefit the school. It well lessen all manual recordings done by the Administrator and help them produce reliable and accurate report needed by the C/A+CT. The study also benefit the accounting In-charge in order to process the Accounting System of C/A+CT in more accurate. D. Objectives of the study General objectives: The main objective of the study is to develop and assign a more modernized system regarding the account of C/A+CT. By this study all reports regarding the accounting of C/A+CT will be done in a reliable and accurate format. Specific: 1.To identify the actual book keeping and accounting practices of C/A+CT. 2.To determine the types of accounting system by C/A+CT. 3.To identify the problems faced by C/A+CT as a result of maintaining improper associated accounting system. 4.To identify the factors responsible for these problems of maintaining adequate records of accounting system by C/A+CT. 5.To develop and analyze a system that is more accurate and efficient in recording and computing the accounts of C/A+CT. 6.To make and produce a well designed system that is capable of computing all accounts. 7. To design a system that makes work easier and lessened manual computation and recording. E. Data Gathering Procedures INTERVIEW The researchers interviewed the Administrator. Researchers used this method in order to gather some information that are related to the study. RESEARCH The researchers were able to understand the existing of accounting system through this method. They designed proposed system immediately also read other books and sample thesis related to the researchers system. OBSERVATION The researchers used this method in order to understand the existingà accounting system. LIBRARY The researchers used this method to gather additional information about the proposed system. They used books at the library as their basis and source of data. Statement of the Problem Based on the observation of the researchers on the existing accounting system of C/A+CT college, they encountered the fallowing problems: 1. What is the current status of the system? 2. Will a computerized accounting system helps the accountant or cashier to make an easy, faster, and efficient way of computations? 3. How was the proposed system developed? 4. Will a computerized accounting system serves as a user friendly system? Review of related literature According to Baysa and Lupisan (2011) defined accounting as a service activity. They said that the main function of accounting practices is to provide quantitative information, primarily financial in nature, about economic entities that is intended to be useful in making economic decisions. Accounting is undeniably essential to most individuals. It serves a variety range of place in our society. Many researchers and writers have defined the role of accounting in the daily lives of people in the society. The primary purpose of accounting is simply to help people make decisions throughout their everyday lives. This is where accounting comes in as it plays a vital role in tracking down the activities and resources of a business and reporting back these activities in the form of relevant information. In another literary work, Abelada (2010) stated in one of his books that accounting is introduced primarily for a business enterprise. Why Violent Video Games Should Not Be Banned
According to certain people, violent video games should be banned; they feel that violent video games are the source of todayââ¬â¢s violence amongst children. I strongly disagree with them. Video games, like movies, music and any other form of art, are there to entertain people and to enjoy, not restrict. What most people fail to realize is that the video game industry, like the film industry, is heavily regulated with a strict code of parental guidelines already in place. Even the game consoles to play these violent games have parental controls. What I fail to understand is that some parents believe its okay to give their children 18+ rated games even though they are well under that age, and say that these games are the sources of violence between children. If parents would not let a 10-year-old watch 18+ rated horrors movies, then why would parents let a 10-year-old play Gears of War, or Grand Theft Auto with its gang, crime and sexual content? Today, the debate to ban violent vi deo games is drastically increasing in popularity.Video games that have violence in them such as Call of Duty, Grand Theft Auto, or Gears of War, might be banned for showing mature content. Video games sold in the United States reach retail sales of twenty one billion dollars a year. If they are banned, the economy can lose a tremendous amount of profit, and not to mention almost every mature adult around the world would be extremely furious. When people say that video games are very influential on the youth of today, they are probably right. However, the youth of today probably shouldn't be playing violent video games to start with, just as they shouldn't be watching violent movies. Violent video games have an age rating on them for a reason. If parents want buy their under aged children violent video games, then they should not complain that the video games are causing their children to become violent. Before complaining, they should actually pay attention to the age ratings posted on the games themselves and not ignore it, and then to make things worse; try to ban the games that other people might enjoy playing.Todayââ¬â¢s game consoles (Sony's Play station 3and Microsoft's Xbox 360) are both aimed at mature adults, with the consoles having parental controls, and age warnings on the game boxes. Personally, I couldn't think of anything worse if violent video games get banned. The last thing that I want to do is go into any store and only be able to buy games that are aimed at 3-year-olds, such as Kung fu Panda or Dora the Explorer. In conclusion, I can say that violent video games have become one of the most favorable forms of entertainment to any teenager or adult around the world in the 21st century. And if they were to get banned, many people would get extremely furious. Violent video games are aimed strictly at mature teenagers and adults (as indicated on the game box itself), not children. Parents that complain that some video games are too violent and should be banned should stop and think; because after all, they are the ones who bought their kids the violent video games.
